Sidemen Vally, surrounded by ricefields, is a more quiet part inland. An underrated part of Bali. One of the much appreciated stays is Samanvaya. It holds so much beauty and serenity. Their team, all from Sidemen and nearby villages, approach you with unwavering warmth and kindness. They are very community driven and there to show you their traditions, the nature and their stories.
Tourism has grown significantly for this Tropical Paradise, which has given the local people a lot of opportunity, but it also comes with a cost. If and when you visit this Island, I hope you will consider also spending your time with the Balinese people.
They have been the absolute kindest of people and their way of living, home and nature deserves to be protected.

Open gyms, people working out outside, runners in groups on the streets and the sheer amount of places with lines and lines of people to come for brunch. Working cafes during the day, surfing during your break, concept stores that are inspiring and beach clubs with a perfect atmosphere by night.

Traveling to Ubud, where the culture is protected, is like traveling to a different period of time. In the midst of the jungle there are structures carved with elegant details and statues with ancient stories. The inhabitants showcase their traditional dances accompanied by chanting and singing. Wandering around I remember yellow, orange and reds in ceremonial decorations, pink and yellow Frangipani, insence with their bright offerings. Fragant food and funky monkeys.

Undeniably pink & breathtakingly blue.
Arriving on this beautiful Island when it’s pitch black, late at night. There is an electric feeling, a nervous exciting energy, of places ready to be discovered. I am so nervous. I have rarely travelled to other continents, this is my second time actually. The excitement is high. We are driving up to our first stay, Pink Coco, which is, still in the dark, Undeniably Pink.
I love it.
Wandering around Uluwatu with her beautiful beaches, which you reach by descending with steep stairs out to breathtakingly blue views. In the area you quickly notice the appreciation for brunch, all of the food more colorful than you are used to with its fruits and veggies. With a clear influence of fitness and health, I understand why people are attracted to move to Bali when it comes to their career. A "Work hard, play hard Lifestyle" comes to mind and it is clearly visible.
